NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY

Phi Mu's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Networkto which our organization has contributed a record-setting $19 million since 1986. These funds benefit over 170 CMN hospitals nationwide, improving the quality of life for children all over the country.

Gamma Lambda’s CMN hospital is Duke Children’s, located only 15 minutes from our home. Yearly, our chapter raises funds for CMN through many different events, the largest of which are Bonnamu and Casino Night. For more than 50 years, Gamma Lambda has comprised a compassionate and philanthropic sisterhood that actively strives to, as our creed says, "lend to those less fortunate a helping hand."

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mu.
